So welcome back! It’s been a while, but I’m back to share with you all the most thrilling local events and happenings in the Scarborough Bluffs/Guildwood Village area for the summer!

First up most of the annual events in Guildwood have returned to in person attendance, although it’s up to you whether you still wear a mask. For details on the Guildwood Village Community Association go to their website at: www.guildwood.ca

An important theatre summer event at our very own “Greek Theatre” hosted by the Guild Festival Theatre behind the Guild Inn is scheduled as follows for July and August:

Family Fest on July 6 through July 10th featuring performances, Workshops and Activities for the whole Family!

From July 25th to August 27th the Guild Festival Theatre troop will be presenting “The Red Priest” by Mieko Ouchi.

Finally starting August 18 to August 28th “Chekov’s Shorts” a new adaptation will be on the bill.

Coming up very soon, and not to be missed on Thursday July 7, Toronto Arts in the Park presents Nagata Shachu, the popular Japanese Drumming Group. Beginning at 6:30 pm with the free, hands-on public Workshop and followed by a live concert at the Greek Theatre from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

Please bring your own lawn chairs for this free event. Rain date will be July 10th same times.

Mark Your Calendars! The “Guild Alive with Culture Arts Festival” is slated for weekend of July 23rd and July 24th from 10 am to 5 pm both days! This popular event which attracts thousands of weekend visitors is organized by our local City Councillor Paul Ainsley and the volunteers of the Guild Renaissance Group. It’s a popular Arts and Music Festival that brings over 100 craft creators, artisans, performers and community supporters to showcase their unique works.
